Sorry to read about the past few years, you've had a rollercoaster ride, I hope that things are now on the up for you. Although I didn't intend to offend anyone, this is the problem/risk when reading text instead of actually having a conversation - it's very easy to take things the wrong way.
Don't worry, I have a very dry sense of humour, you'll all get used to it / ignore it sooner or later.
