Just for information - never use acetone on carbon rims as it attacks the resin.

Acetone is generally fine, mainly because it evaporates so quickly and carbon rims tend to be well-sealed at places where they'll come into contact with either friction or other substances. Most carbon rim manufacturers recommend acetone or IPA (propanol) for removing tubular glue but, of course, check with the manufacturer first, just in case.
