What hi fi system you got ?

ooh, sd card conversion <cracks knuckles, interrogates Google>
There are a few different brands, I got mine from iflash.xyz

The later ones (Gen 7) can only go to 120gb
But my old iPod video has a 256gb sd card in it.

You can also get SSD for them but in terms of battery life the SD card is far superior plus realisticly an SSD would be wasted in an old iPod

Folks are doing lots of ipod conversions lately..

Dual boot, so Apple iPod OS or RockBox where you can fully customise every setting, redesigning and coding a new theme so 5.5 Gen iPod with 64MB onboard for example +512GB Samsung flash on a iFlash board, 3300mAh phone battery, taptic engine (so it vibrates as well as clicks) they get around 80 hours of playback... then they customise the casing

Just cant do valves! Those Quad IIs make me itch! Its a 44, wang it on a 606!

Phew...

I have the same CD player, whip the drawer cover off and the original Phillips decals are on the other side. They're good even without that cuty DAC
I tried it without the DAC and wasn't too impressed. Had it from new in 1991! It's only had 1 set of belts and a few caps replaced.

I may regret this but someone did ask.
My turntable is a Kuzma Stabi S with a Kuzma point 9 arm and Nagaoka mp-300 MM cartridge.
CD player is an Esoteric DV50S and a Marantz CD94
Amplifier is a Triode Corporation TRV35, with 5881 valves not EL34
Speakers are Impulse H2 horn loaded corner horns.

Much of it is mid to late 90's except the speakers and Marantz which are early to mid 80's.

This quite a rough photo of it. Amp has changed since this. Also the finish on the speakers have been changed, ahem!
I didn't like the Rosewood so they are now a sort of gold leaf! Not gold though!
Some seriously beautiful and very expensive kit you have there man. Drool!!

A DAC to go for is the Apogee Duet II / III series. Wonderful
