Audio Innovations 900 stereo line amp - around 25w per channel nominal into 8 ohms.

How about a compromise (or best of both worlds).
My Pathos TT - single-ended Class A valve/MOSFET hybrid.

Lovely fluid, subtle sound with superb bass. Most solid-state amps sound like a ‘box of transistors’ in comparison

No it’s really good actually. I had DC heating on my triode amps - unreal - but this is ac - no horrid hash and gets marginally better 30 mins in but good from the get go
