2x Technics 1210 M5G with Ortofon QBert carts through a Pioneer DJM800 and an ancient JVC amp and Jamo speakers.
Amp and speakers are original from my first set of Soundlabs 17 years ago. Could really do with upgrading but given I can't get the levels above 2 in my flat without annoying people there's not much point.
Audiolab Pre/Power amps (drove to Fife for the pre and Edinburgh for the power)
Micromega Stage 3 CD (delivered by postie)
Linn LP12 turntable (drove to Auchtermuchty to collect)
Mission 753s (collected from Gt Yarmouth)
Thankfully I was doing other things in each area at the time...........
Audiolab a massive improvement over my previous Accoustic Research.
Micromega pisses over my earlier Rega Planet. In French.
Linn - yep good, but can be improved, but hey it was made in Eaglesham where I cycled as a kid!
753s -
I've got some nice sounding micro system by Hitachi, but my main "hi-fi" system is my PC with Waveterminal M-192 sound card and decent wireless Sennheiser headphones.
But recently more often I use my Android phone whith PowerAmp app and Sennheiser earphones... Practical, nice sound, portable and I'm alive after listening loud to the new Meshuggah (Mrs and the daughter don't appreciate this sort of noises...)
Hmm a detached house, i wish.....i used to rent an old chapel house which was detached....great to let rip..........don't think the chapel goers liked my music though but at first i was just trying to drown out their singing  ..... to be honest every other Sunday i'd give it a rest, to be respectful as the rest of the time was mine
I now have a 1988 Technics SE M100 amplifier - onboard DAC with twin mono amplification. Very very nice compared to the Quad gear I had for a short time.
I loved my 606 and 44 but other stuff sounded better.
Music is from a Yamaha Music cast, one of the last things from down the tip. A £2000 posh hifi PC with a massive 80gb hdd - massive for 2004! The software is out there for a bigger hdd but cant be bothered yet.
It is very good with its lossless audio ripping/ playback but a bit of a technological dinosaur. Its built in wifi is now too old to communicate with the router. I have to hardwire it to update Gracenote.
Speakers are still Mission 753.
Bought a cheap A to D converter for the ipod to go into the Technics - it works rather well for £8!
I still have a LOT of other bits, plus am now a bit of a convert to the original Goodmans speakers. Have a set of Magnums and some Dimension 8
