what have you thrown out?

When reading madcowkev's post earlier it got me thinking what kinda retro stuff have we/or our parents( :roll: ) thrown out. i know i used to have boxes of parts(lx/xt) a lovely set of titanium bars and a huge amount of magazines(mtb i mean, not the 'others' ) that have all just seemed to have disapeared....

I'm guilty of throwing away 2 Marins, 1st was a 91 Palisades Trail, it was only 6 months old, but had been underneath a lorry as i did, lucky it was me that survived and not the bike!

And my replacement for the Palisades was a 91 Pine Mountain, which got dumped about 5 years ago, it was well knackered though but still regret that foulish act!

Hundreds of Wolber, Mavic and Araya sprint rims
A Klein road frame
Several Deore touring triple chainsets.
Umpteen control tech and syncros stems in stupid sizes

It's because of people like me that this stuff is now so scarce....

Over the years I've binned far too much stuff :roll:

Here are the highlights

• Original crud catcher ('cause I got the Mk2 version)
• Mk2 crud catcher ('cause I got a clear Mk2 version – still got that one though)
• Klein forks off a Pulse
• any amount of old Suntour kit
• White Onza Porc (don't cry guys, the stdewalls were all cracked and fraying)
• Black shimmed X-lite bars
• Purple shimmed x-lite bars (were faded)
• A 3-foot tall pile of MBUKs from the late '80s to early '90s
• A Bula hat
• GT jersey and shorts (yellow and blue '91 :cry: )
• Giro Hammerhead lid ('cause I hadn't worn it for a while)

Need I go on – this is quite upsetting to recall

that was me too buy something new on saturday, ride on sunday, not quite what i wanted or played up... in the frickin bin and good ridance to a certain extent i'm still like it :twisted:
