What grease do you use? Old RJ Quinn restoratilon.

Ive just dismantled and degreased the really old cup and axle bottom bracket on this lovely RJ Quinn frame I've got. The amount of filthy, really stuck on hard, grease in there was unbelievable but apart from that the bottom bracket is fine. Ive only got this purple grease stuff I bought from Halfords - is there something better I can use?

I just use white lithium grease, the same multi-purpose stuff you use on car wheel bearings etc, and it works great.

castrol multipurpose grease...i'm pretty sure its some lithium based stuff too.

Rok N Roll super web but I am sure most lithium greases will be fine.

Definitely lithium, and you'll get a large tub for the price of a small tube of Halfords bike grease
