What Glue for a saddle cover?

I have a saddle where the leather cover iattached to the shiny plastic shell with little staples. I'd rather not have these near my nether regions, thankyou, so would like to stick the cover to the underside instead. What glue should I use?

The last time I glued a saddle cover on I used contact cement-worked quite well!

I've had some test "sticks" on the base with some no-name contact adhesive from days of yore. It didn't work. I may have to try some Evo Stik.

There's also a stronger version of UHU which is quite good; works on the same "contact" principle.

Have a look at Seam Grip that is sold by McNett
