I've just purchased this Trek 4500, im thinking its a 1999 model with retrofit Rockshox...but i've looked at the archive Trek 1999 catalogue and it appears the relevant page is missing! Can anyone confirm the year?
What friggin year is it??

I'm not seeing that colour combo anywhere on Vintage Trek (which only lists '00 and newer only for the 4500) or in the catalogues from 1997 to 2005.
I too am leaning towards 1999, the one year where the page where the 4500 would have been is missing.

I'm thinking 1998. It's missing form the catalogue, but look at the colour scheme on the 820. Also this chap seems pretty adamant his is '98 - https://www.rotorburn.com/forums/showth ... b9e0324976
