Anyone know of any frames that take a 70mm italian thread BB (115mm axel length?
I've bought a NOS UN71 from a follow RB'r having been told it was a 68mm thread

Most any Italian road frame wil use italian threads, likewise old Italian MTBs. Finding one that uses 115mm narrows it down though - racing triple or tourer?

Personally I can't understand Italian threaded Shimano stuff, if you buy an Italian frame the law states that you must use campa surely?

I mostly agree Pete, especially on the road side.

Suppose if you had a mid/late 90s Italian MTB with an Italian BB you may have wanted Shimano.

Also there was the odd pro road team riding Shimano on Italian.

I've seen a few of these retrofitted into Klein bottom brackets when the press fit bearings were hard to obtain.

Thanks for the info chaps.
Very rare by the sounds of it so it doesn't sound like I'll be able to sell it on any time soon. :(

Funnily enough my 88 Cinelli has an italian threaded BB, I bought a shimano UN54 but needed 122.5 for the old cranks :(

Correct on the cups they are both RH thread which did confuse the hell out of me at 1st
