Re:

Do they have a damper dial on the top? 100% pace mx series, I believe the d in mxcd stood for damper, there were mxc which didn't have the damper i believe. Could be wrong, I've had sets with and without the damper and as the decals were pretty fragile, neither set had them, just the fold welder and the pace lower leg letters.

Yes, your right, there are different versions of the MXC fork, i just call them MXCD by default really :)

That's a year thing.

D will be Downhill? , aka as LT in other forks i.e. Long Travel versions.
So a few extra mm of travel. 45/60mm for 1995
1996 added a rebound damper but this reduced travel it seems
40/50mm
though I think the MXCD was nerfed so they could bring the MD version at 60mm.
Pace geeks may know more. :)

very early Hope hydraulic too - I had the same on my 'Is it a' Zaskar

What yearish?

I'll have more detail on forks later today. Local collect job.

I bought mine summer 1995, I still have the instructions!

Unfortunately the hubs crack and the pistons can seize given their age but at least the caliper can be serviced
