Early new year's resolution is to finally build up a practically nos litespeed obed fs frame I've had for nearly a decade now, maybe longer.

I'm not a period correct kind of guy, I'm planning on a newer drive train than the frame, and some hope tech brakes (or other hopes, maybe even tech 3s, I have a fair stash for some unknown reason), and some adapters to allow it on the frame.

My original plan was to use some amp f3xc forks, I have a minty set in the ti colour, which would play nicely with the ti frame and amp rear end. Rear shock is a blue risse air (Elroy?! Can't remember, it's been a while).

Wheels were to be either a Royce or hope hubbed affair with Mavic 717s, or I could go spinergy cyclone with yellow spokes. Finishing kit is going to be silver bars, stem and post.

So, forks then. Amps, or something a bit more modern?

I like the idea of the f3xcs but would alternatives offer a better ride?

Cards on the table, I'm looking for a nice looking build first and foremost, but I intend to ride it

is it a 95 model with polished AMP rear end?

there was also a 96 model with yellow AMP rear triangle fitting perfectly to the used yellow Judy Fork.

If yours has a silver/polished rear triangle, I would suggest to have also a silver fork.
If you're thinking of optimize the build for better performing parts, I would recommend to consider also a bit of a later generation suspension fork.
E.g. a polished end of 90thies Bomber or silver early SID would be a good fit, from the look and performance-wise.
Just take care that axel-to-crown hight isn't too strongly increasing, which may have negative impact.
Some early SID models with 63mm travel are still just 45cm. This is already 4cm more compared to RS MAG or AMP F3.
