What next> I have the Pioneers to play with, a couple of vintage 531 frames, a near original Zaskar for that American ride, vintage road bikes, retro road bike...

What what what?

Sold a few no longer needed bits & bikes and thats it. Done.

I thought I had all that I wanted, but the odd one appears from time to time to surprise me.

That and ride lots.

Must admit that I'm happy with the full bikes and projects I've got at the moment and as a result spend far less time searching ebay and the fs section. Saying that, this could be because I've spent all my money!

what?

how many times have i felt like that!

something will come up to distract you soon enough. a project that you will talk yourself into.

you know what i mean ;)

Delve into the murky world of the modern bike. Be amazed at brakes that work, suspension that cushions the rude as opposed to just looking good.
Some of them are actually good looking nowadays and you can buy purple bits!
It's also nice to be able to ride hard all year round without that nagging fear that you are wearing out/ risking damaging a vintage bike.

Buy something that needs fettling?

I have never reached the stage of being happy with things I don't own, never mind things I do own.

Isn't the final turn on the spanner a euphemism for death?

:)

Work out a reasonable budget for another bike and then spend it instead on a cycling holiday ( Coed y Brennen, Glentress etc. ), a powdercoat and decals set or your missus ( invaluable credit for the browie-point bank when you decide to dump the garden in favour of a SUPER-SHED! ).
