What bikeshops do you avoid at all cost?

sorry guys for not supporting local businesses, but my one local bike shop just doesn't sell the kind of stuff I buy. I just help them to dispose of the odd bike or frame box once in a while.

As I do 99% of my own mechanics, and really am only interested in the advice people on here have to offer, I buy pretty much everything online!

+1 for me, I do pop round occasionally to see if they can get us something, but by and large ebay or online or indeed here :)

I've bought a couple of bikes from evans in the past and had good deals both times. Didn't do much on the price, but I felt a bit guilty on how much gear I managed to get thrown in each time - gloves, bar ends, chain stay protector, bottle and cage. Just got to be cheeky!
Worst one for me has got to be Mark Antony cycles. Never Again.

lots of love for evens and halfords there !!!
I myself work at halfords, i used to work part time at a ibs just down the road. he couldnt offer me a full job when i finnished college so went to halfords !! well after selling orange, commencal and giant ect it was hard to sell shockwave and apollo. they realy are crap bikes and i have no problem with sending people to my old boss who want a good bike, but lots of people are happy witha full susser for £80 !!!
i like to think that the sales and repair side is good, but the spare's are hard to get hold of, we dont even have spokes wtf ??
i think we should all support are lbs after all you will be rewarded with a little discount and free tea and biscuits.
my fave shop of all time hase to be bike treks. the new shop is mind blowing and the rides from there doorstep is just the best
