Here's mine:

Northwest Mountain Bikes in Stockport - excellent wheels
Sett Valley Cycles - Sam is a good spannerman, and will go out of his way to 'sort' stuff for you, road orientated
Bicycle Doctor - Rusholme, fantastic curry nearby and an all round top shop
Will's Wheels - Stockport, roadie shop but good deals and wheels

good bike shop

Here's mine;

CYCLOPEDIA-Cardiff, South Wales:really helpful, and really good knowledge both retro and current! can't fault them.

my former shop GA cycles,

gary can be grumpy if you don't know him though! :D

matt and steve are top guys and deal with the guts of the day to day stuff

if you're known they'll always be an offer of a cup of tea! just make sure the's a spoon to stir it with, matt is a former car mechanic so spanners get used! ( "behave! little bit of dirt an oil won't 'urt ya!")

mostly mid to high end and has a lot of links with the local road/tt racers so there's always someone coming in talking results etc and gary races himself so has a very keen interest.

as for mechanical ability, i have worked in 5 shops over the years and have learned so much from gary especially when it comes to problem bikes and modification. it's the shop that other shops send the customers to if they can't sort the problem out.

prices are retail or less. never inflated. and there is a loyalty discount scheme.
