I bought a 1985 Peugeot Paris Express (peak cheapie 80s mtb frame/fork geometry) for a tenner.

I'm single speed converting it. It will make a brilliant offroad/retro single/klunker.

My first "proper" MTB was a 94 Kona Fire Mountain. I loved it to bits, but I heavily lusted after a 95 Explosif. After a few years of searching I managed to find one in a size I can ride, I paid top whack for it but I'm a happy chappy.

Has to be the 20" Fire Mountain I found on Facebook Marketplace. Even though it turned out to be a respray, and despite the damage to the decals due to the seller's careless packing, it was very satisfying to get my hands on it and ride it before starting to make those inevitable small changes.
