Looks like I've got some good reading ahead of me.

WD Pros Marin build was a revelation to me. I had never paid attention to it as I'm not really a Marin guy. Likewise, I would never have looked at the Trek build linked in the OP, but it looks like it's gonna be a great build thread too.
It is easy to expect a good build thread on a Yeti or a LLoyd or a Roberts or a Klein etc, etc, etc. But a Marin Bear Valley?
Just goes to show that the best builds might not be where you expect them to be.
