What are people's thoughts on 'retro modding' a steel frame?

It doesnt have a 'proper' cable stop at the back, yes, v-brakes

Have some silver Avid's here, although to be fair I do have my eye on some Pauls V brakes....

^ these, like Paul comp Vs can be used to fit 700c wheels in your 26" frame too, which has it's uses.

I had to have a friend mill some arms for some Onza HO to convert a russian titanium frame !
and this is way cheaper than Pauls Motolite at min 200 box a pair !
