What’s your lightest <97 MTB

It has more modern drivetrain and brakes but the rest is largely <97 with the original fork, stem, bar, nice Hope/Mavic wheels, USE post.

Am i the only one who has to keep going and converting Kg into lb to know what the weights are?

My 94 litespeed ocoee was 19 pounds with a mag 21 sl ti. Titanium spokes lots of ringle parts titanium bolts everywhere. It’s so throwable and a single track beast. You can fling it easily. Light and expensive for a 94 bike.

Wow, that is light. I reckon I’d bend a bike that light just by sitting on it.

Probably not, i've been heavier and ridden lighter.

As long as you have a modicum of mechanical sympathy and ability to choose a good line, they're a lot tougher than you think.

Nope. Kg is for roadies :roll: lbs is for retro mtb

I’m going to add geax aka plums tires to lighten it more and if anyone knows of antitanium
Chain and maybe chainrings that would fit the xtr vintage group I will buy it.

My Raleigh USA Torus Tomac is a fraction under 22lbs. (9.8kg)
AMP Research B4 full suss is fraction over 22lbs.(10.15kg)

My Marin IFT comes in at just a shade over 21.3lbs and has some fairly light components fitted (and nobbly tyres!). Changing the stock stem, forks, and seatpost might take the weight down a little if you really wanted I guess.
