What’s this Ti bike?

Seems to have a bit of interest already that or some shill bidding. Seller has some other retro stuff but doesn’t appear to know much about them.

At least his quick release’s are on the same side as each other. What would we do if the fork QR was on the NDS and the rear on the DS

I did wonder, couldn’t decide either way, thought most of the welds looked neat. Nice bike to be selling and not know much about.

Definitely looks titanium to me - Circa 2004? I don’t recognise the model, but someone will.

Unusual details ..

- polished finish
- dropped tt at seatube
- big ugly gussets on tt

Looks Ti to me also, especially around the dropouts.

Where the dropouts are welded to the stays looks more like a Ti bike than alu, same for the machined head tube. The sheen of the metal and the contrast to the definitely ally seatpost make me think Ti.

It’s aluminium - the parts were originally mounted to a small MerlinXLM that I was bidding on until he retracted all bids as the ‘frame had a crack’. I guess someone made an offer although he couldn’t refuse
