McMahon / Crystal Designs Linear Pull Prototype Brake?

Hi!

Where are our McMahon and Russ from Crystal Designs experts? From what we've all been able to deduct these are quite similar to the MCR Batwings in profile but with the pad holder assemblies and yoke/widget in the same format as the Crystal Design Power Brake.

Going by the finish I would say that they are homemade.
Did they arrive on a bike, if so what was the rest of the build like?

It has elements of Brooklyn Machine Works? Maybe an early prototype that never went into production. They did a brake called Snot Rocket

I hadn't seen the linear pull Crystals before! They do look pretty similar. And I see elements of the Brooklyn too. But then again, neither are quite there which as you said maybe an early prototype?

The plot thickens! I learned there was a version of the McMahon decelerator with bent arms that is looking quite similar. So I'm down to prototypes of this or the Crystal Design linear pulls....but the McMahon is a lot closer

Hi!
Does anyone recognize this wild 90's brake? The ti springs are reminiscent of WTB springs. The most similar brakes I've found are the McMahon Batwings, but clearly that's not it. Thanks!

Hi,
your pictures seem to not work any longer, can you please update? I would love to have a look at those weird brakes too
