Weird Linear Pull / Widget Brake I.D.

Hi!
Does anyone recognize this wild 90's brake? The ti springs are reminiscent of WTB springs. The most similar brakes I've found are the McMahon Batwings, but clearly that's not it. Thanks!

I was intrigued so did a bit of looking. Came across this page which has all manner of brakes. Nothing exact that I can see, but the strange brake is closest.

Going by the finish I would say that they are homemade.
Did they arrive on a bike, if so what was the rest of the build like?

It has elements of Brooklyn Machine Works? Maybe an early prototype that never went into production. They did a brake called Snot Rocket
