i remeber watching him win the national champs in north wales, i think that was 98

Only read a few bits by him or about him , and he seems to have a high image of himself . maybe he mainly raced in the uk as I had never heard of him before .

but again , not all DH racers can have Vouilloz trophies .

There was a shot in MBi of RW on a polished/green ano. Verlicchi Saracen which is maybe where the confusion arises? It's what I though of first anyway.

I think there is an interview on descent-world where he talks about how he couldn't be arsed pedalling and qualified in a low position. The Giant manager (possibly the big guy who now does Mountain Mayhem?) went beserk having seen this, so on his final run Warner sprinted and won. And that it rained soon after his run had nothing to do with it :?

Talented bike rider, possibly not the major talent he thought he was. May have been an important proto-Palmer for the UK scene though.

sorry you're right, it was Tomac than ran Magura on a Giant, and that was probably prior to '96. Hope on UK team bikes.
