Sainsbury's basic Spanish red wine, don't knock it till you've tried it, for the money it kick butts on bottles twice its price, also try it with with coca cola :shock: blame the Spanish for that one but again well worth trying before you knock it! (called "calimucho" )
Having lived and worked in Madrid for a few years I can tell you some of the best wines i've tasted are Spanish Riojas. They keep the best stuff. And don't get me started on the Cavas :shock: the crap we get here is aweful, but a proper Cava is very nice compared to a similar French thing with a funny name that only a certain region can call it by.
Even their lagers! Spanish san Miguel is brewed in Barcelona and tastes very different (and quite nice) compared to the crap we get here brewed in Glasgow! I did a blind taste test on the family and all chose the Barcelona beer hands down :shock:
