Wanted XT Shifter RHD 8 Speed M739

After nearly twenty years stirling work the XT 8 speed shifter on my old 'dale has died. Refused to shift lower than the middle of the cassette, some investigative work has proved inconculsive.

Ideally I'd like to buy an M739 to fit onto the existing barmount.

WHY ?
