WANTED: Tool for rebuilding old Marzocchi XCR

stra4d

Retro Newbie
Hi

There is some kind of special tool needed to remove/push the shrader valve on the top of old Marzocchi XCR shocks. Anybody have such a tool?

Regards,
Scott

XCR

All you need is a small long nose pliers to screw it out.

If you are in need for spare parts (I have it all) or if any other question concerning the XCRT arises - drop me a note.

Won't putting pliers on there damage the threads?

To be honest I don't know. Can't find a manual or even exploded parts list. I know that its leaking, and I have been able to get the dust seals off, then the first set of c-clips off, but can't get the damaged inner seals out. Never rebuilt a set of shocks before. I was told I had to push the valve down to get to the next piece to remove but it doesn't seem to want to move.

But you are saying up/out so I will try that.
