Wanted : Late 90s Campag Vento / Zonda 40mm or similar

Missed a nice looking set of these last week because I had nothing to put them on... and a week later I have a very late period Vitus that needs something of that vintage.

Campag 8 speed hub compatible.

What have you got ?

I have a pair of Zonda with 9 speed hub.

I was thinking of selling as I didn't finish the Peugeot 708 I was working on.

With a spacer I think you can put an 8 speed cassette on.

I can put some pics up.

I am in hertfordshire if that helps.

^ 9 speed Campagnolo won't take an 8 speed cassette - different free hub, or drop a sprocket / respace a 9 cassette.

I have a pair of Campagnolo Atlanta clinchers, a Mavic CXP30 tubular rims in silver or some unbranded 40mm tubular rims.

If you're not too bothered about it being all campag, you could use a Shimano wheel and cassette. 7 speed Shimano is the same spacing as campag 8. You would of course have a redundant can click on your levers.
If you want to get really cute, get a Shimano 9/10 speed wheel, a 7 speed cassette and a spare 7 speed spacer and sprocket and you have your 8 speed
