Hi All,

Looking for a decent triple chainset. Its for a tourer build for my lady and she has bad knees, so needs plenty of range. :?

Needs to be 170. Preferably something like a 48-50, 40, 30.

Looking for one with decent rings (little wear) - perhaps a nice Sugino, an old TA or a stronglight.

Many thanks

:D

I might be selling a Dura Ace 7700 Triple Chainset, Bottom Bracket and Front Mech. Either 170, or 172.5, can check if you interested.

Would you be interested in the lot? I would rather sell as a package tbh.

I think £100 for the lot posted. (£60 cranks, £10 BB, £30 Front mech)

Can take pics and give full info if needed, although might be in the morning now.

Hi,
I have a Shimano 105 octalink c/w bottom bracket.
It is 165mm though,It may be better if she has knee problems?
Not trying to push mine there will be plenty of 165 TA cranks around.
Fairly sure it is 50-40-30,It will be about £50.I'll get pics. if it is of interest?
Cheers

Thanks for all the kind offers. Toomanycakes I think you are right. I have done a bit more research now and as her knee problem is to do with her patella it's best to go with shortest crank possible.

Sorry badda should have done more research first!

Toomanycakes I'll drop you a pm.

Thanks again guys.

would not lowering the seatpost achieve the same thing and actually raise the angle of the body so slightly more upright for touring anyway?

Glad you got sorted though.

Thats what i thought- but rather than height, apparently its more to do with horizontal push and how that puts pressure on the patella. So a few mm shorter can make quite a difference.
