Those Mavic rims look like a nice 25mm height...The same as my Sun Venuses that I run on my 89' Raleigh. The strength of the higher rim pays off when you are out on "high lonesome".

Thanks for all the nice comments folks.
I didn't really think too much about the rims when I built the wheels, I had in my head that Open Sport were low profile and traditional looking... which they are compared to modern road wheels... but when you compare them to the Module E or suchlike they actually look quite deep. Something to think about for the future anyway.

Wow. The Open Sports are only 16mm height. Nice choice.
