just finished a restore of one of these and am really impressed . Headset has been cleaned up and feels really good

I would guess it is mid 1990,s . I now need some kind of special polish to help hide some scratches on the anodised aluminium frame
 
You cannot remove an anodised surface. There is a clear seal over the anodise that has some surface scratches . Need to find a specialist polish .
 
“Cannot remove “ means don’t remove because it’s a protective surface which changes the molecular structure of the surface . What I am looking for is a polish sympathetic to the clear seal that covers the anodised surface.
 
Wrong choice of word then "cannot" to "do not", totally different.
Polishing out the scratch means removing some of the clear coat, you might be better off adding clear coat and then polishing it down.
