Zullo

Retro Guru
55cm Vitus 979, rare 'Sean Kelly' gold anodised colour. Ideal donor frame for full KAS Sean Kelly tribute bike! Nice overall condition, only two minor things - minor wear where a pump has been fitted, and slight deformation of the brake cable through top tube entry, a common thing, not noticeable when a cable is installed.

Smooth running Mavic SSC bottom bracket included in price. I forgot just how light the 979s were: 2180gr frame/forks/Mavic Bracket and headset!

See attached photos of what it could look like as a KAS renovation. Full KAS transfer set available online for only £26

£250 with Mavic bracket Now £230 £220

To answer a couple of questions all in a oner: Vitus seat post size is 25mm, the headset and the BB are both French threaded and it's 126mm oln. Thanks 🙏

Don't know if this helps, I hope it does. This frame is actually a Peugeot PX10 DU (by Vitus) rather than the Yellow/Gold Sean Kelly later Vitus frame. It doesn't take anything away, it's a great frame, But it's the earlier version with seat clamp rather than grub screw. The Bronze colour was used only on the bikes sold by Peugeot. Cheers.

Hi, it was decalled 'Boniface', came from a Vitus main dealer shop and I know the original owner so definitely not a Peugeot! I guess Vitus made these in big numbers. It's correct it's the earlier version of the 979. It is gold in colour, definitely not bronze...

The grub screw imo was a disaster, I've seen a lot of Vitus with totally stuck screws or threaded. Did a good job at mangling a seat post also!

This is a photo of the PX10 DU, you can clearly see it's a pewter bronze colour, and nothing like the gold anodised 979 I'm selling. Sorry, but you scored a duck on that one!
