Vittorio Strada. Built by dutch framebuilder Jan Groot in Alkmaar in the late '70's. Reynolds 531. mr. Groot named his bike Vittorio because it sounded Italian. Italian bikes were already very popular in those days. I restored the bike with NOS Mavic 105 hubs, NOS Rigida Excel 7 Rims, DT Swiss spokes. Gear is Shimano 600 as is the breaking system.

I did one issue of l'Eroica and two issues of the RetroRonde van Vlaanderen on a Vittorio. Two bikes, both Nuovo Gran Sport equipped. A nice touch was that all NGS parts were converted to allen bolt only, so you have to carry a limited amount of tools with you. Probably result of the huge experience with randonneuring. With one of the two bikes even the rear mech was customized to fit an adjuster. That same bike also has the the pretty rare porta catena feature.
