I have some Spidel / Mavic wheels that need to be rebuilt! Its got Mafacs, it just now needs a frenchyfied drivetrain

There was one major problem with bikes with this tube arrangement, they were only made for giants. They never made them in a smaller size.

The F. Sueur isn't a huge size. I've seen others that were normal sizes, with twin laterals for stiffness. First Breezers had them

You're obviously more experienced than I. They just seem to be very oversized. Maybe it's just an illusion of the angle that they're photographed at.
