A more extreme version of Shimano's 600AX pedals, from memory it "added" 20mm to the frame size, because of the pedal body/platform being below the pedal axis. As per drawing, slow typist.

I've often looked at those....never really applied any grey cells to it.....of course! So less steerer less head tube and seatube and seatpost....that's weight right there...🤨

How did those pedals feel guinness? I assume toe/front wheel overlap is also reduced? Was the frame specific for the pedals? More chance of pedal strikes into and out if corners?
So many questions this is throwing up..😁

Pedals felt fine with Shimano shoes. Frame was a Standard 1982 Raleigh Road Ace, they were fitted with the 600AX groupset as standard. The pedals were physically thin, I never noticed or had any strikes. I can't remember about overlap, don't think it made any difference ie still had it.
