Vintage French randonneuer's and porteurs.

I've just measured stack heights on my four frenchies....by age oldest first...33,40,37,34
Oldest was a 26.4 crown race ! 🤨 Second oldest 26.5 other two are 27.....maybe a correlation in age for crown race sizes? No correlation on stack heights tho 😆
 
Spotted this last week outside a bike shop in Southsea Portsmouth, had to pull over and ask how much. Looks like early 70's and pretty much original..a snip at £120..👍

If you've ever had one of these in your hands. Let go of it immediately and put it back where it came from. Wash hands with bleach.

Sometimes, somethings can be too far gone even with the best intentions.

Another warning; they are not standard canti-lever bosses.

Was a 1947-1950 Peugeot. Tip find. Very little could be saved from it. Not even the bell.
