I love it. Have you seen how the chainguard curves almost into the wheel? Bit too close for comfort.Apparcel tourisme.
Anyone notice the chainstay ribs? If it's formed into the tube that's amazing skills!Translated,
Acquired following the death of the original owner.
Beautiful rambler that I would date to the late 1930s. It looks like an Uldry or Erpelding but the mystery is there.
The owner only had his left arm so the craftsman only fitted one Erpelding lever modified for a double cable. A small lever acts as a safety or parking brake.
The Mafac canti are not original; the cleats have probably been brazed on afterwards. Moreover, there are still anchor points under the base for Jeay calipers (I tried). The wheels are not original either. The hubs look very much like Maxicars but without any apparent brand. Rear drum and Wolber tyres in 650.
Rubis tube frame and fork with pads. Chainrings and very interesting Rosa front derailleur.
Brooks spring loaded saddle, ED meter, Erpelding stem and brake lever. Sufficit grips and Cyclo 3 speed derailleur.
I used it as is for the Béret-baguette ride. A marvel!
Hmmmm I wonder if there's a trade deal to be struck here....
