A special porteur, bespoke and of obvious quality. Translation below.

This bicycle in question was actually that of one of the company's frame builders.
He made a bike himself, to his measurements. This steed served him all his life and survived him.
So if this bike could talk, it could tell the story of utility cycling in the Hauts de France.

The company was MONSIEUR YVES TROGNEUX, sole trader, registered under SIREN 581719234, has been in business for 83 years. Located in AMIENS

The company MONSIEUR YVES TROGNEUX was closed on 25 December 1984.

This speaks to me on so many levels, I think its beautiful. Translation below.

The owner was a bricklayer and I bought it from his daughter, now in her sixties.
It's a lovely colour and as you can see it's only had a little wash, so it's pretty well preserved.
I don't know the year of the bike and the seller couldn't help me with that (1967 according to article and hub GIGFY)
I dismantled the luggage rack at Denis' insistence, which was great!
The handlebars are certainly not original, but rather from a city bike.
The spring-loaded plastic saddle had foam that was turning to dust, so it was in the bin, replaced by a Brooks that happened to be passing by innocently.
The tyres are a bit burnt out but it runs well, the brake pads are the same and there's a bit of play in the hubs ... nothing serious.
