I've got something any French aficionados could be interested in!

Found 5 of these in an old bike shop in Rouen, France. They are genuine St. Christopher name tags for bicycles, ready for engraving/personalising (AFAIK there was a period post war when bike registration was compulsory). In pristine polished aluminium with all the correct nuts and bolts to secure them. Pukka!

I'm looking at a Bernard Carre built French frame/bike. Won't see it in the metal till Sunday, but did he build tourers? I thought he was mainly building road bikes and specialist frames for professionals?

Speaking of Bernard Carré bikes: late '70s "Type Competition" (per head badge); Super Vitus 971 frame.
I do not think it is a racing frame for its era due to ~43cm chainstays which would be fairly long for any racing geometry. Notice rear wheel space even with hub about as far forward as it can in the d-o's; plenty of room for fenders. I think it is a randonneur/audax frame myself. Owner believes it to be a club racer. You tell me.
