Yes, hats off to whoever did that. The effort gone into that is really something. Must have used every trick in the book - practically everything looks original. The frame restoration is very very impressive.

I've noticed that most metals are really good quality but when the chrome is gone because of storage in damp places there's little you can do. Ironically a layer of dust, dirt and oily grime seems to preserve parts that at first sight are for the bin.
 
@Guinessisgoodforyou - superb posts as usual. There really is a magic going on with true high end porteur. Interesting looking at the specs. in the Goeland catalogue, it's helped me out with a few questions. I'm guessing it would be early 60s; it's all top shelf stuff with foreign exotica entering the scene.
