Alloy rims from Mavic with wide tyres at that time period? The research I did (albeit not mega exhaustive) says such a thing didn't exist I've noticed a few early high end Randonneurs here with alloy rims, and I'm even wondering if these are tubulars or special rim orders or something. I would love to understand more what was available at this time, so if you see something on this subject please post it up.
