Vintage BSA Metro Bicycle for sale

Retro Newbie
Could anybody point me in the right direction to sell this 1980s bike I’ve inherited?

On Ebay , these BSA bikes seem to sell for up to £600 but i figured this would be a better place to try first. Only looking for £199.

I think from looking at it your price of £199 is about £189 too high but, after some extensive research on eBay I found this one and have to admit defeat - your valuation is only £159 too high.
Like many things, there are BSA's and there are BSA's.

Yes - just to clarify (though Google will also tell you more if you need to know), BSA did at one time make decent bikes, but as with many makes they got bought up by Raleigh and then the name was used to sell cheaper models, sold in catalogues. This is one of those, which has also been roughly repainted and given some new (also cheap) parts. So I'm afraid it really isn't worth anything much.
