Hello - just picked up this mint Raleigh Elkhorn
looking for some help dating - done some research but havent found this model/coloring anywhere
any ideas ? serial # RP0 00614

That is interesting. It looks very much like the Technium range, except for the seat tube/seat stay/seat collar casting. On normal Technium the (wishbone) seat stay exits the casting at about the same height as the seat tube; on this bike it's quite offset. Is it a 'funny' size frame, eg very big?

The forks look like standard Technium items, which (I believe) are Spinner items, although I don't remember mine having two eyes for mudguards/racks etc.

I like it though, great colour scheme.

hey thanks - i also have a Technium 91 'peak' maybe this was before that like 88-89 ??
the frame geometry is a bit different but still ride is nice - Also the rear break cable runs internally through the top tube hmmmm

This is 1990 or later (assuming the groupset is original) the 300/400/500LX group (it looks like this might have 400LX) came out in 1990.

yes the guy i purchased it off said it was all original - it is EXAGE 400LX
