I'm not even showing a photo of the number of old roadster bits I have in my mancave.

That's a nice example. It's good to see a bike with a quadrant shifter that hasn't been broken for parts :evil: . What does the hub say?

the hub is marked K7, which I believe dates it to 1937


The rod brakes work quite well. I used it for a morning commute which was interesting, but it's a really comfy ride.

Does it have a rod rear brake under the chainstays? That's really cool.
I've just baught one of these, mines in a lot worse nick being covered all over with emulsion and it has the saddle missing but it does have prety cool rod operated drums all round

These make excellent town bikes, nothing cooler in the summer time! Worth every penny of that hundred quid your asking. Good luck with the sale!

it's pretty big, BB-T C-C is 24"

Believe it or not, that's equivalent to about 19" in modern mountain bike sizing. :shock:

Too big for me, but you will find a buyer at such a good price. It's a bargain.

thanks, the you're right about the size though. It's probably a tad too small for me which sounds crazy as I'm not 7' tall

Back on topic, if I had room I'd take this, I'd love using it around Manchester. So if I find a reliable job, get a mortgage and buy a flat in Porchfield (the only building with garages in Manchester city centre) before you've sold it...

Dammit, I've got a friend visiting from Swindon next week & he's coming on the coach :cry:

Think it's maybe just too big for me anyway - 24" centre BB to centre top tube, not to top of the seat tube? That's some proper straw-clutching I'm doing there!

Have some things to swap too, fancy a weekend in Manchester...?

Sure it's just too big for me - I'll wind my neck in (none to soon, I'm sure I heard at the back...)
