Venturi Columbus Genius Italian 🇮🇹 Fillet Brazed unique race MTB

This Gran Compe hanger is classy
I shouldn’t or shouldn’t get rid of the black protrusion ?
Been working on the brake cantis - and cables
Classic MKS Esprit pedals in champagne and silver and a silver KMC drilled chain before I finish it and then take it for a spin
I’ll be needing a bottle cage - hmmmm... which colour ?
And a Seatpost clamp/bolt

Stunning mate, truly classy build!
Goes to show that a build with better looking parts, just improves the aesthetics and stands out more. Sleek, streamline, quality and expensive.

I somehow let this thread pass me by. Will definitely be going back to the start to have a good read. Looks great

Thanks mate and thanks to you for helping out so much!
Chain and some finishing touches to come - followed by setting everything up and doing the gear cables at some point this week. I’m going to haul out my DSLR with some choice lenses to photograph this is the field.
Currently weight is bang on 20lb and same as my Ti Bianchi. Sure I could lose a lb or two by tweaking tyres pedals etc but it’s still very light - I hope it rides as well as it looks

Having read through the entire thread I reckon you need to trust your own judgement a bit more Ibbs :) I've seen plenty of lovely builds that you've put together without needing approval on colour choices etc (those purple nipples need to go though ). I'd like to see it with a load of Campag thrown at it but that might be a bit predictable I suppose.

Looking forward to seeing it all cabled up and rolling.

I often look for different ideas before making my mind up.
I had initially considered campag but it’s heavy stuff (either that ((with Euclid)) or really rare such as Record OR) and seemed a shame to weigh this down as the frame is so damn light! Also I reckon Italian frame and Italian components been done and wanted something a bit different. Though it’s been a tough decision and choice/availability journey! I’m still not happy with the cockpit and can’t find a seat binder I like!
Regarding the purple raspberry ripples, I’m not keen on them but for some reason the two nice condition M900 wheel sets ive come across with rims I want have been with purple nips. Someone told me they use these to highlight the fact that they’re M900 hubs - why? No idea!!

What don't you like about the cockpit? Is the stem 22.2mm or 25.4mm?

I can't tell from the pics - is the seatpost collar recessed so you could just use a bolt?

not sure
It’s not the stem - it’s the bars I think - they’re a tad wide and not dead straight - they curve inwards - comfortable to ride with but aesthetically a bit off. I’m just being really nitpicky
