Top brake this one,puts other non parallel push in the shade
Always worked better with the xt levers though :?

1995 model year the 'V-Brake' was released (and hence brought to the mass market), though there where other linear-pull brakes before that. V-Brake is yet another Shimano Trade Mark that has now turned into a name of something.

Got a full set of these in the shed.
Toying with replacing the Tektro ones on my Avalanche with them.
They liked to eat pads though.
