Very minor problems:
The stop for the tension spring fouling the back of the crown when brake opened to allow the release of the wheel (xtr v's). Thin spacing washer solved this.
There is just clearance for a 2.1 tyre to pass the brakes when releasing the wheel.
You might have to use a shallow angle noodle to avoid the cable rubbing on the back of the crown.
Let the tyre down a bit :?
I can remember that some tyres dont fit between cantis when fitting/removing and you had to release the cable to get it past the pads :?
XT v's on this for a while now - bend the noodle a wee bit to suit.....
...and yes if you have wide tyres then let some air out AND IMPORTANTLY - don't fully inflate tyre before refitting wheel to bike as its a PITA to realise you need to deflate and reinflate again
Thanks for that lads. I still have a question about Mr Panda's bike. How do you reach the peddles and work the brakes without thumbs, also how does mint feel about your riding.
Close up for you. I used Hope caliper spacers to sort out the problem with rubbing on the fork brace. Important because the tension stop could make itself into the slot in the brace leading to instant (and violent) braking and some unwanted airtime....
