UST rim problem

While fitting some different tyres to my Mavic Crossland UST wheels this evening I was struggling to get the slicks to sit correctly inside the rims.

On closer inspection I found the seal around the rim is damaged in places as in the below photos. Is it worth trying to repair this, or since I will never be running these tubeless, should I cut out the offending sections of plastic or perhaps the whole liner?

Any advice would be welcomed! T..

Re:

If you are not going to tune tubeless, yes you can remove it and replace with rim tape. You could also take it out, remove any offending bits and refit as rim tape alternative.

You could go ghetto tubeless at a later date or buy replacement liners.

You could try heating it and getting it back into some sort of shape so your thres seat properly. Will cost you pennies in electric bill and if it doesnt work, you have a plan b and c.
