USE Shims

Re:

I would say the options retro are syncros, syncros and syncros. They come in such a range of sizes. And prices. I bought a ratty series 3 for 20:00 a little while ago, and then mint series 2 at eyewatering price. Root around and they are lurking, like Ents.

I have been looking for 30.4 syncros posts but no luck so far, fingers crossed.

If you don't mind black and a Ritchey/Kalloy old school look and can get past some modern logo.
30.4 400mm
https://www.tredz.co.uk/.System-EX-Seat ... ?sku=25657

or the
Inline Kalloy design
https://winstanleysbikes.co.uk/bbb-bsp- ... r-seatpost?

I'll post some more up if I find any.
shame the silver isn't available.

The system ex doesn't look too bad I might consider it, cheers

Dispatch time on tredz is a wee bit too long for me though

Do a search for the brand, they're just the first link I came across.

Been reading a bit more about people's experience with shims and tried to find any shims above 200mm but seems there are none. Would combining 2 shims provide any extra safety?

What metal is the bike frame made from, steel, alloy. Ti, carbon? I would be careful if it’s not a steel frame, with a shim, probably more prone to cracking. And if your a b larger rider it’s probably better just to have the correct sized post IMO

I assume you mean end to end? a member on here Retro Spud has done this from what i can remember and there is some information on here somewhere about it, probably easier/quicker just to contact him direct :)

End to end, yes

I've ordered a BBB skyscraper now but will continue to look for a Syncros post in the correct diameter.

I appreciate the help that you all have given me.
