Upside Down Suspension forks

You had the marzocchi bomber RAC's as well.

I was going to mention those! Carbon uppers and crown too iIrc. They were also supposedly so stiff that Marzocchi had to re-make the uppers with a bit more compliance before releasing them. Whether this is true or not I don't know but that's what I was told by our rep. :?

Your rep was telling porkies.

What kills all of these upside down forks is the comparative weight.

You can't make and upside down fork as stiff as a standard fork without a minor weight penalty.

And in sales and racing all those grams count.

only if you post the whole built up bike back to me

do you mean post a picture on here??lol

to be serious just for a mo those forks would have a very restricted steering lock on the SanAn. did run JuniorT Marz forks for a while but the turning circle was super-tanker big!

i have had a set of SC shivers [early 120mm] and even with a 20mm bolt thru they flexed a fair bit.

that said the small bump travel is unrivalled.

also had a use sub, that thing was solid, really fancy another one!

Quality forks! Vastly under-rated imo.

The rarer gold one only looks good on certain frames though.

I recently bought a Halson PDS from a local classified for a mere $55usd. I always wanted to try one of these and will let everyone know how they work. In my search for info on them I found this pdf of a technical brochure. http://www.justincouch.com/download/PDS_Brochure.pdf It claims they weigh in at 3.2lbs without steerer. Doesn't seem like a terrible weight penalty. They are also set up to use cantis with their neat design.
