Yes but they were built at the dealers and invoiced as individual parts rather than being a sent from GT to the dealer as a full bike in a box.1991 catalogue clearly states ‘can be ordered as complete bikes’.
Thread being somewhat derailed but if I walk into a bike shop, look at a GT catalogue, point at the page that says ‘can be supplied as a complete bike with Deore XT’,subsequently order said complete bike from aforementioned catalogue, then IMHO, it’s a catalogue build.
Probably Ritchey Megabites the same as all the other top MTBs in their catalogue that year
